Convertible Opel Adam confirmed

0602 Opel Adam Convertible 1

The Opel Adam made a splash at its world début at the Paris Motor Show last year. The car has a young and vibrant appeal and is highly customisable. Now, it’s set to get even more funky with the addition of a convertible to the range.

Senior sources within Opel/Vauxhall have confirmed that a convertible Adam is in development. Set to rival the likes of the Citorën DS3 Cabrio and the Fiat 500C, the Adam will get a pram-style electric folding roof. It’s likely to go on sale towards the end of next year.

The Adam convertible will have stiff competition though, especially after Citroën has confirmed that its DS3 Cabrio range will grow to include a number of special editions. Not least of these will be a DS3 Cabrio Racing, which will make around 150 kW.
